Vinyasa/Hot Yoga: Vinyasa is the Sanskrit word for flow. These classes are all encompassing, combining techniques gathered from ancient texts all the way up to your modern day guru. During Vinyasa we are not only "flowing" from pose to pose but more importantly from breath to breath. We bring awareness into every step that we take through mindful application of technique and integrity, and accentuate the physicality with every breath that we take. In these classes the emphasis is placed on how we feel in the Asana (pose) rather than how we may look. You will experience various styles of Pranayama (deep breathing) to warm and prepare the body for the
Asana (pose), various flowing and holding techniques, inversions, arm balances and back bends. At the end of every class you will experience a well deserved, deep Savasana (dead body pose) encouraging the releasing the relaxing and the absorbing of all the benefits from the sequencing. The room is heated to ninety degrees promoting detoxification, purification, weight loss and an ultimate sensation of revitalization. Vinyasa/Hot Yoga Flow Classes: These classes are intended for the more intermediate practitioner in a sense they are not taught and instructed they are more "lead". Using all the same techniques in the above description, moving at a more advanced, "faster" pace. Unless you have been working with Lori on a daily basis or have a solid practice it is recommended that you take class with Lori at least 5 times before attending this style class..."constant inspiration and the ideal of attaining perfection generate energy and help to maintain regularity in practice..."

FORREST YOGA: A complete mind/body yoga workout that strengthens and connects you to your core, through deep abdominal work. You will connect with feeling and bring aliveness and energy to every cell in your body, through focused breath work. You will explore intensive vinyasa flow and standing pose sequences as well as hip openers, twists, backbends, inversions, etc. Through the use of heat and deep breathing you will enable your body to release toxins. Poses are held longer creating internal heat, which oxygenate, flush and rejuvenate every cell. You will leave feeling revitalized, open and alive.
HOT DETOX YOGA: This flow class grounded on the fundamentals of Forrest Yoga, is designed for cleansing and detoxifying the body. It will include deep cleansing abdominal and breath-work, vigorous vinyasa flow sequences focusing on connecting the breath with each movement, deep hip openers to decongest the pelvis and improve the immune system, twists to wring the internal organs, revitalize the digestive system and unclog stagnant energy, as well as basic inversions to stimulate the lymphatic and immune system. You will leave feeling cleansed, energized and awake. Please come with an empty stomach and bring a small hand towel.
YOGA Rx: An all level restorative yoga posture flow designed to heal & strengthen the body, work towards achieving optimal spine health, gain flexibility, balance and release tension. This class is perfect for those new to yoga, those looking for a gentle class and students that wish to deepen their practice. You will leave feeling healthier, vibrant, and open.
YOGA 4 CORE STRENGTH: Dive into the center if your being. This deep cleansing flow will take you through a series of ab/upper body conditioning postures and focused breath work. Developing a strong center will strengthen your back and help you avoid injuries. Pre-requisite: 4 classes w/Aixa or a committed yoga practice.
Tantric Hatha Yoga: is a multi-level class designed to increase flexibility, strength and energy while finding "sthira, sukha and Tantra" - stability, ease and aspiration to expand beyond your limits. Class uses posture flows as well as longer-held poses, breath work, visualization, deep relaxation and meditation to tone the organs, relax the nervous system, quiet the mind, and bring integration of body, mind and spirit.
